retirement as seen by Shakespeare

"Fear no more the heat o the sun, nor the furious winter's rages.Thou thy worldly task hast done, home art gone and taken thy wages"
William Shakespeare

This quote is interesting to me because even in the 16th century the feelings towards retirement remain similar to todays with the good and bad sides of retirement. You can see how he likes the idea of more time to himself but also is not keen on his income being taken from him as well as his possessions as time will pass and money will become hard to come across.
